Marketing departments are more aligned with company revenue goals now than ever before. When I was a sales professional, marketing was a "support" function. Preparing tradeshow material, brochures, and collateral to support the requirements of what was typically an outbound sales organization.

Buyers are now in control of purchasing decisions, taking themselves farther down the sales funnel. Marketing teams are given the difficult task of capturing demand of a buyer that is educated, informed and knowledgeable.

When I started Smashdeck it was to provide teams with exemplary digital marketing services from a sales perspective. I look at every marketing challenge as an opportunity to bring more sales into the organization.
